Cambridge Homes offers full design/build services on your own lot, or we can help you locate the perfect property in Southeast Michigan for your new custom home.
We commonly work in Northville, Novi, South Lyon, Plymouth, Bloomfield Hills, Birmingham, West Bloomfield, Milford, Brighton, Ann Arbor, Farmington Hills, Superior Township, and other surrounding areas. Our process
Cambridge Homes
Discuss goals and objectives for your dream home.
We can help you to find a lot that fits your needs.
Conduct site analysis including location of utilities, grading, tree clearing, retaining walls, wells, septic, soil analysis, municipal and agency regulations and more.
Select one of our floor plans or work with our architect to create your own.
Review and customize specifications including appliances, trim, windows, plumbing fixtures and more that will be incorporated into your home
Once the house plans and specifications are finalized you will meet with our Sales Manager to sign a purchase agreement.
We will be happy to refer you to our preferred lender, or we will work with your lender, in order to secure construction mortgage financing.
Once the lot, house plans, specifications, purchase agreement and financing are finalized we will set a closing date for your construction mortgage loan. Once the house is complete your construction mortgage will roll into a conventional mortgage.
Work closely with our Selections Coordinator and Interior Designer to select finishes in your home such as countertops, tile, paint and more.
After we have obtained all necessary approvals and permits through the municipality and other various agencies on your behalf, we will start the site development process. This includes land clearing, extending utilities, special grading requirements and more if needed.
Construction on your house will begin and you will be regularly updated on the progress by our Project Manager.
- Electrical Walk Through: Review the location of all electrical outlets, lights, switches and more and have the option to make changes.
- Tile Walk Through: Review the tile you selected and the tile patterns in your house prior to installation.
- Final Walk Through: Create a punch list with our Project Manager to be completed to your satisfaction before you move in your home.
Receive the keys to your home, garage door openers and gate opener (if applicable).
